  • It's time for another Jamie Weblog entry... woo hoo! :) Welp I'm currently living in Alexandria Virginia... crazy! It's been a wild ride getting here but luckily things have slowed down a little bit for me. I got my own apartment a few weeks ago furnished completely by IKEA. The only bad thing I can think of about the furniture I got is that it is kinda short. The tv stand is just a little short and same with my bed side table. But other then that it was all a great deal!

I never realized how much of a nerd I am because now I get all excited about sales at the local grocery store and about cutting coupons. Woo hoo! But it was crazy cause I bought something that was normally $6 onsale for $4 and then I had a $1 coupon that was a double coupon... I saved $4! And I felt so excited! I have decided that I'm going to start "cooking" less frozen food and cook more recipes. We'll see how long that idea lasts in my head... :) But there is a place called Let's Dish right up the road where you prepare the food and then freeze it and then cook it later. I have thought about it.

Welp... it's time to start laundry... Have a great day! :)

  • So I decided today that it would be fun to talk about the mysteries of cleaning your/my room...

    1. I am amazed by how many things I have and REALLY don't need and don't want to throw away. What are the odds of me ever needing my Thermo Dynamix 2 course pack ever again? Hmmm...

    2. When someone like me has a lot of clutter/ junk in their room I often find that I am just pushing the clutter from one side of the room to the other only to find that there is no room for the junk that I pushed to the other side of the room. Is that a sign that I should throw it out?

    3. And for my last thought... philosopher Jamie " what really is clean? is clean really ever clean?"

As you can tell I'm struggling with the motivation to get my things in order.

I still can't believe that in a week from today I'm going to be moving out, starting my own path, having a new zip code/state to call my own. The furthest that I've ever lived from home was a half hour, to that 9 hours sounds so far away. In 9 hours you could watch the movie Titanic 3 times, not including restroom breaks, and you might have to fast forward through that music in the end... but still... :) It's funny going through being excited, scared, sad, and then after all those emotions going back to excited again. So yeah I'm excited... :)

  • Hey Hey!

So yep it's been a little while since I hopped on this thing and said a big hello. Welp... hello world! It's funny cause I get this weird I haven't talked to you in a long while feeling as I sit here and type. And you know in those situations all you do is struggle and try to put into words what's gone on in the last few months... now lets see...

    1) I went to Sutton's Bay last week and hung out with Mrs Taylor Vann and her adorable Ethan. It is fun seeing how your friends go from being friend to being a mom. And I truely feel that being a mom adds such a huge dimention to your life. Not saying you have to be a mom or a parent (for the guys), you might miss out on something huge.

    2) I went to a high school graduation party for one my dq kids. I planned it perfectly so I was there when the rest of the dq crew was there so I didn't feel too out of place. Seeing pictures of Steve in his cap and gown made me realize how very long ago it was that I too graduated. BUT the craziest thing ever, my friend Theresa from high school told me to check out her myspace account, so I did, but it linked to all these other accounts, which linked to other accounts. The next thing I knew I was reading about my the interests of my high school prom date. Don't ask me how I got there.... or why I kept on reading and reading.... I felt like the 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon or something. I hope I don't get hooked on myspace... but I almost set up an account... strength jamie.... strength...

    3) I bought my first car! Can you believe it. I am now an owner of a brand new 2005 Stratus coupe. It has a sun roof and a 6 disc cd player... can i just tell you that I can't believe that I lived without a sunroof for all this time. I have honestly only turned the air on twice all year.

Now that I got all the important stuff out of the way... ;) I'm off to bed. Talk to you later mr. xanga and his peeps! We'll talk soon! I promise! :)

  • Hey guys!

I'm back from my trip. I'm excited to have my own room again, my good ole shower, my comfy bed, and my jiberty (i sooo missed driving). I know I've been a slacker on filling people in on what has been going on in my life. There has been a lot and I've decided that I'm going to try and call people and fill them in that way. So look forward to a call from me soon yo!

About Me

  • Hey! I'm Jamie! I can't think of anything way way amazing to tell about myself. I'm currently a grad student pursuing an MBA. And for those of you who ask in what... well I'm thinking Human Resources. I also currently work part time at DQ. I also have this every day battle with learning to trust God. But the days that I succeed are AWESOME!
